The Wyoming Energy Authority (WEA) issued two announcements (Oct 8th and Oct 10th – linked below) for public comment periods for funding of energy projects. All of these projects call for Energy Matching Funds (EMF) from the Governor’s office. Each announcement has separate deadlines for public comments. October 8, 2025 WEA Announcement
Deadline for public comments is Saturday, October 18, 2025.

The EMF Review Committee recommended three projects to Governor Gordon for review:
- Basin Electric, Dry Fork Station Unit 2 Feed Study. Award Recommendation: $4,000,000.
- Contango Resources: Big Horn Pipeline Feasibility Study. Award Recommendation: $343,005.
- The University of Wyoming School of Energy Resources, Integrated Test Center Enhancement Funding. Award Recommendation: $5,500,000.

The EMF Review Committee recommended one Large Project EMF to Governor Gordon for review:
- BWX Technologies, Inc., TRISO Fuel Fabrication Facility in Wyoming, $100,000,000.
