Nuclearcosts.org website was shared with us today by one of our readers. The site is “A project of: Georgians for Affordable Energy, HEAL Utah, Snake River Alliance, and other organizations committed to ensuring a safe, affordable energy future.”
The website is loaded with articles and information that focuses on the extraordinary amount of costs that other states have had to endure from nuclear projects in their part of the nation.
While we have only just begun perusing this site, there is one quote that we feel is worth sharing:
“Every nuclear project since the 1970s has had cost overruns, and the multitude fail, ultimately burdening rate- and taxpayers, and sometimes bankrupting municipalities.”
— Peter Bradford, former Nuclear Regulatory Commission member, Herald Journal
We encourage our readers to check this site out, and we warmly thank our new Wyoming friend!
