“CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County Economic Development Joint Powers Board has rescinded its application for a $25 million grant that would have aided nuclear energy company Radiant in its plans to build a factory near Bar Nunn for portable nuclear microreactors.
The grant, which was being offered by the Wyoming Business Council, would have been used to build utility infrastructure that includes sewer, water and a new public road.
According to Advance Casper CEO Justin Farley, the application was withdrawn due to concerns with the scope of the grant and impacts it could have on other possible business developments in the area. Farley specifically pointed to the planned Westwinds extension project, which would connect Westwinds Road in Bar Nunn to Six Mile Road near the Natrona County International Airport…”
